Hundreds of residents undergo health awareness programme in Klang

SHAH ALAM, May 30 — Klang residents took the opportunity to undergo free health screenings via the Sihat Fest 2022 programme at Taman Rakyat yesterday.

The programme, organised by the Sri Kota Medical Specialist Centre in cooperation with the Klang Municipal Council (MPK), was officiated by council president Noraini Roslan.

“The programme is held as one method to inculcate awareness on the importance of looking after one’s health, especially among Klang residents.

“Over 150 visitors in Taman Rakyat underwent the free health checks, in addition to another 300 more undergoing exercise activities and the ‘fun walk’ as well,” said MPK in a Facebook post.

The programme was supported by and saw cooperation from several agencies including the Seri Andalas Fire and Rescue station, the police, and sponsorship from Marigold and TR Zumba for the zumba activities.

“Thank you to all sponsors and agencies. MPK will always prioritise the prosperity of the Klang community,” said the council.
