SHAH ALAM, June 4 — The Selangor International Exhibition (SIE) Food and Beverages (F&B) Supermarket Buyers Programme organised by Invest Selangor Bhd (Invest Selangor) provided state entrepreneurs with the best platform to introduce and market their locally made products.
TJ Delight founder Rosiyati Mustafar said the initiative helped her to introduce ketupat palas and pulut lepa not only for the local market but also abroad.
“Apart from the local market, we also wanted our frozen food products to enter foreign markets. Insya Allah (God willing), the SIE F&B platform offers a chance for local entrepreneurs like us to seek new opportunities.
“This venture is part of our efforts to introduce Malaysian traditional food to the global community,” she told SelangorKini during the programme at ST Rosyam Mart in Section 9, here today.
Rezza Brand executive director Mohammad Munir Lukman Hakim said their participation in the programme had made a positive impact on the company’s sales.
“In this programme, we brought five products and our best-selling teh tarik canned drink and cup porridge of various flavours. The organisation of this programme also allows us to collaborate with other entrepreneurs.
“I hope the state government can organise more programmes like this regularly to help boost the business of local entrepreneurs,” he said.
The SIE F&B Supermarket Buyers Programme took place at Lulu Hypermarket in Setia City Mall and ST Rosyam Mart.
The 10-day programme was organised in conjunction with the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2022 and ends tomorrow.
A total of 25 exhibitors participated in the programme, featuring various products, including food paste, green chilli paste, herbal tea and frozen food.
