MBSA to organise car-free day on Aug 14, several roads closed

SHAH ALAM, Aug 10 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will close several roads in conjunction with the 2022 Shah Alam Car-Free Day on August 14.

The local council said the roads involved are Persiaran Bandaraya (Dataran Kemerdekaan), Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai, from 6.30am until 9.30am.

“We would like to urge the public to avoid the said roads during the time period to avoid heavy traffic and to always abide by the instructions given from time to time.

“We seek cooperation from road users and to use alternative roads to their destination,” it said.

The Shah Alam Car-Free Day is scheduled to begin at Dataran Kemerdekaan, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among urban dwellers.
