SHAH ALAM, Aug 10 — The Selangor Saring free health screening programme will be continued this weekend, at the Kota Anggerik state constituency on Sunday.

Its state assemblyman Najwan Halimi said the programme will run from 9am to 3pm, and will be held at Dewan Rafflesia in Taman Bukit Subang.

“Selangor Saring is aimed at providing early detection for diseases including the heart, high blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and more.

“The health screening is free and you can register via the SELangkah app. Kota Anggerik residents are advised to attend and get themselves screened,” he said in a Facebook post.

The state government has allocated RM3.4 million to realise Selangor Saring, which is expected to benefit up to 39,000 residents in the state, particularly those with a family history of hereditary ailments, obese individuals, or those leading unhealthy lifestyles.

The programme, running until September 4, offers physical screenings, blood, urine and optical tests, cervical and breast cancer tests, occult or colorectal faecal blood tests, and prostate tests.
