PKPS: Affordable goods sale in two locations this weekend

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Aug 12 — The affordable sale of basic necessities organised by the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) will continue at two locations this weekend.

PKPS said the Jualan Prihatin Rakyat sale will take place at the field in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Pelabuhan Utara, Port Klang, tomorrow.

Running from 9am to 12pm, it will continue at Kampung Sri Indah B in Sungai Buloh a day after.

A variety of items will be sold, including chicken at RM13 a piece, cooking oil at RM2.50 per kg, grade B chicken eggs at RM12.50 per tray, beef at RM39 per pack, vegetables and fruits at farm prices, and fish at RM10 per pack.

Since December last year, PKPS has been conducting Jualan Prihatin Rakyat so as to alleviate the people’s burden, following the increase in living costs.

Yesterday, its senior marketing manager Md Fazir Abdul Latif said PKPS will tour 160 locations throughout Selangor to market essential goods until the end of 2022.

On July 25, state executive councillor for the modernization of agriculture and agro-based industry Izham Hashim said over 80,000 people in the state have benefitted from the programme.
