SHAH ALAM, Aug 23 — The 2022 Selangor Women’s Conference, themed ‘Post-Pandemic Women’s Challenge: Towards a Fair, Prosperous and Inclusive Selangor’ (Cabaran Wanita Pasca Pandemik: Ke Arah Selangor Saksama, Sejahtera dan Inklusif) commences today.
Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) executive director Rozeeta@Hidayah Ramli said the conference, which runs until Thursday at the MBSA Convention Center, is a platform for stakeholders to share information and make suggestions.
She said the conference’s topics include the economy, health, education, culture, and the artistic sectors, through the tabling of 31 working papers and six posters.
“The conference serves as a discussion platform between stakeholders to share ideas, information, and suggestions on how to improve.
“The ideas raised during the tablings will help WBS shape public policies, especially those concerning women,” Rozeeta said.
Earlier on, state executive councillor for urban housing and welfare Rodziah Ismail officiated the conference.
The conference is held in cooperation between WBS with Universiti Selangor (UniSEL) and Open University Malaysia.
