MPAJ invites residents to join patriotic-themed fun ride this weekend

SHAH ALAM, Sept 8 — Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) will be holding a fun ride in conjunction with its 30th anniversary and monthly Car Free Day programme, this Sunday.

The 2022 MPAJ 30 Fun Ride programme that will be held at the MPAJ Padang Perbandaran, Pandan Indah will also have a patriotic-themed dress or outfit competition.

In its statement, MPAJ said the fun ride held in collaboration with the Warga Ampang Riders (WAR) will start at 7.30am from the Padang Perbandaran MPAJ through the Ampang Jaya areas covering a distance of 30 kilometres.

MPAJ said in accordance with the event’s theme, which is National Day, it will have a contest for the best men’s and women’s dress or outfit as well as for the best decorated bicycle.

It said interested participants only need to pay an RM30 fee to receive a cycling t-shirt, group insurance coverage and a chance to win the lucky draw contest that offers total prizes worth RM15,000.

While for the best dress or outfit contest, participation is free and open to men and women in three categories, namely children (7-12 years old), teenagers (13-17 years old) and adults (18 years old and above). The winner of each category will take home RM300 in cash.
