Invest Selangor denies involvement in illegal schemes, fraudulent activities

SHAH ALAM, Feb 6 — Invest Selangor Berhad (Invest Selangor) has denied its involvement in any illegal schemes or fraudulent activities.

In a recent statement, the state agency said that the fraudulent use of its name and the name and positions of its senior officer are aimed to mislead members of the public.

“Invest Selangor Berhad has been made aware of the unauthorised use of our Company’s and the Chief Executive Officer’s names in a few fictitious Telegram accounts and other social media channels.

“Neither Invest Selangor nor any of our subsidiaries are involved or associated in any way with any of the accounts,” the statement read.

The agency had also urged the public to remain cautious and not fall victim to such schemes.
