SHAH ALAM, May 31 – The Jelajah Kita Selangor Penyayang (JKSP) roadshow, which is held in every district of the state, is expected to become an annual event as an ongoing effort to connect with the people, says Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek.

She said the roadshow, which serves as a comprehensive platform for the state’s outreach programmes, also raises community awareness regarding the initiatives offered by the state government.

“It is a programme to connect with the people and to provide them with information on the initiatives offered by the state government.

“Sometimes the public may not be well informed or are uncertain (of the initiatives). Therefore, the programme is held to ensure that we reach out to all segments of society,” she said at a prize-giving ceremony for the JKSP programme at the Darul Ehsan Building, here today.

Also present was MBI Corporate Social Responsibility Department head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor.

The JKSP, which is an expansion to the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) initiative, was implemented on February 18 in Klang and concluded in Sabak Bernam on March 19.

Formerly known as Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP), the programme includes various activities such as exhibitions, food sales, health screenings, public dialogues, sports, and the discounted sales of essential goods under Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat.

Meanwhile, Norita stated that MBI is pleased to present nine grand lucky draw prizes to nine winners at each JKSP location.

She said each winner will take home a Honda Wave Alpha 110cc motorcycle worth RM6,000, with a total value of RM54,000 for all the prizes.

She added that the lucky draw prizes is part of MBI’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
