‘Missing’ Vier Harmoni carrying RM 1.57 million diesel hijacked?

SHAH ALAM, AUG 17: A reportedly hijacked Vier Harmoni cargo ship carrying 900,000 litres of diesel was suspected to have been taken in the Kuantan Port waters.
Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Director General Datuk Ahmad Puzi Ab Kahar said the cargo ship was carrying diesel worth a total of RM1.57 million.
“MTVierHarmoni (MTVH), registered in Batam, was reported missing and was suspected to have been in the Kuantan Port waters. MMEA has begun investigations.
“This morning, we had contacted our colleagues in Indonesia to join the search. Now MTVH has been verified as being in the waters off Batam.
#MTVierHarmoni, with its cargo, is believed to have been taken to Batam carrying 900,000 litres of diesel worth RM1.57 million,” wrote Ahmad Puzi on his Twitter account.
He said early investigations showed that the vessel had been taken due to internal conflicts.  Meanwhile, investigations are currently still underway.
