Manage wealth before death to avoid family misunderstandings

BY: SYASYA SUFIAN
SHAH ALAM, SEP 15: The Pengurusan Harta Pusaka seminar organised by Taman Medan Women Empowerment Centre (PWB) provided awareness to participants on the importance of managing their wealth and properties before death.
Taman Medan Assemblyman Haniza Talha said that the seminar helped in preparing wills and documents to ease the wealth distribution process and ultimately reduce misunderstandings in families.
“There is a lot of frozen inheritances accumulated in Amanah Raya, in total about RM38 billion.
“This is certainly a loss to the community as that amount of wealth is not used for the community’s benefit,” he said to SelangorKini.
Commenting further, Haniza said that the women-only seminar sponsored by the State Legislative Assembly Service Centre managed to attract 20 participants.
She added that a similar workshop will be held in the near future for the public.
“As managing our wealth based on Syariah (Islamic Laws) is very important and many people have yet to understand this, I propose that PWB take this effort as one of its structured programmes in every constituency,” she said.
