“In Selangor, the average monthly bill is as low as RM13.30 as the first 20 cubic metres is subsidised by the state government,” he said at the Closed Hearing of the Select Committee regarding Selangor Water Sources recently.
The hearing was chaired by Yeo Bee Yin and was also attended by its committee members including assemblymen Dr Xavier Jayakumar (Seri Andalas), Shafie Ngah (Bangi) dan Sulaiman Abdul Razak (Permatang).
Besides Suhaimi, the session also called representatives from Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad.
