MyCARE: Dr Fauziah and WBG members released

SHAH ALAM, OCT 7: All members and crew onboard the Women’s Boat to Gaza (WBG) mission, who had been detained by the Israeli forces, have been released the  morning of October 7.
This information was released by the Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCARE) through its Facebook page, quoting Freedom Flotilla Coalition which manages the human right lawyers in Tel Aviv.
The Israeli forces had released two Al Jazeera reporters, Mina Harballou (United Kingdom) and Hoda Rakhme (Rusia), on October 6.
“The other 11 delegation members will be sent home to their respective countries either tonight (local time) or early tomorrow morning,” said MYCARE.

Israeli forces had seized the ship, with 3 crew members and 10 women activists including Dr Fauziah, at 2.58 local time on October 6 evening (9.58 Malaysian time).
The ship was beseiged on its way Gaza, then detained and towed by the Israeli forces to the Ashdod Port.
Besides Dr Fauziah, 10 other volunteers onboard the Zaytona-Oliva were Madelaine Anne Habib (Australia), Synne Sofie Reksten (Norway), Emma Charlota Ringqvist (Sweden), Laureate Mairead McGuire (Ireland), Marama Davidson (New Zealand) Jeannette Escanilla (Sweden), Mary Ann Wright (USA), Samira Douaifia (Algeria), Leign Ann Naidoo (South Africa) and Sandra Barrilaro (Spain).
