RM4.1 billion reserve benefits Selangor citizens

BY: ERMIZI MUHAMAD
BERA, OCT 3: The Selangor government’s reserve of over RM4.1 billion is used solely for the development and prosperity of Selangor’s citizens.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said that although Selangor does not own such great natural resources, the state’s careful administration has encouraged its positive growth.
“Although Pahang has timber and bauxite, the state is still backward because it is ruled by Umno.
“But in Selangor we carry the responsibility and trust for every citizen. Although I have only undertaken this duty for two years, the state reserve is already over RM4.1 billion,” he said.
Mohamed Azmin said this during the Jelajah 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) programme at Simpang Kepayang, Bera Pahang.
Selangor’s reserve has previously registered a six year growth of only RM1.6 billion during Umno-Barisan Nasional’s (BN) administration.
Even more astounding is the fact that there was a 21.24% growth registered in the first six months of this year.
This positive growth ensures that Selangor remains on track as the most developed state economically in Malaysia.
