SHAH ALAM, NOV 28: At least 430 children from asnaf (eligible zakat recipient) families in four districts participated in Majlis Khatan Perdana organised by the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).
LZS District Management Chief Zaidu Rasid said that this was the first time a circumcision programme was organised by LZS in Gombak, Sepang, Hulu Selangor and Klang.
“The cost is fully borne by LZS in efforts to help the asnaf.
“The programme also included education aid awards to Selangor asnaf children, from November 17 until December 14,” he said.

Meanwhile, a total of 175 children of asnaf families and the Asy-Syarif Mosque parishioners in Klang District were circumcised on November 27.
Klang District Operation Head Saiful Anuar Abdullah said that out of the total, 54 children were from asnaf families while another 120 children were parishioners of the mosque.
“The circumcision was based on the ‘clamp’ method which was carried out by a registered Medical Assistant using the Smart Clamp,” he said.
