MPSepang’s strategic plan: Prosperous municipality 2020

SHAH ALAM, DEC 16: Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) is actively implementing its 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, in an initiative to turn its municipality into a prosperous and green city by 2020.
The mission is focused on turning MPSepang into a  local authority which will be able to provide the best services in ensuring the prosperity of its community.
In its statement, MPSepang said that the plan’s main component includes the  initiative to ensure Sepang becomes a clean municipality, which uses green technology in its administration.
“Focus includes the best solid waste management and general cleaning, by inculcating the practice of recycling and waste segregation.

“Besides that, the plan includes implementation of a greenery programme with the community cultivating green practices through the use of ICT equipment via the 3R concept,” said the statement.
During that period, there are also various programmes planned to create a harmonious community as the core in strengthening sustainable development.
These initiatives include committed and collaborative development projects which involve the township’s community.
“The implementations are in line with development of the local community, including creating a Sepang ‘Hawkers Blue Print’ and also best practices in management.
“Besides that, other points of focus include enhancing the image of Cyberjaya, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Dengkil and Pantai Bagan Lalang, as well as turning Sepang into a tourist attraction,” he said.
At the same time, MPSepang is also focusing on ensuring a more efficient internal administration by creating a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
“ICT development definitely supports integrated and excellent services. To realise the idea, management staff are trained to produce employees with high integrity who comply to rules and regulations,” he said.
