260 Rumah Selangorku units part of Smart Sewa scheme

SHAH ALAM, JAN 24: As many as 260 Rumah Selangorku units have been earmarked to be sold under the Smart Sewa Scheme involving a total cost of RM46.5 million.
Housing, Building Management and Urban Living Exco Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad said that the units will be rented to applicants who failed to secure bank loans to buy houses.
He said that it will be also open to those who have been unable to purchase a house previously.
“Renters will get back 30% of the rental paid after the end of the rental contract.
“The money returned will be used to help them buy their own homes,” he said in a statement.
During the Selangor Budget 2017, the State Government announced a RM100 million allocation to buy Rumah Selangorku units to implement the Smart Sewa Scheme.
Iskandar said the 260 units involved were located at the following areas: De Kiara Apartments (30 units), De Bayu Apartments (30 units), Bandar Bukit Raja Apartments (50 units), Trifolis Apartments, Bandar Botanic (30 units), Jade Hills Kajang (50 units), Pangsapuri Bandar Rimbayu (50 units) and Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh (20 units).
