New look for Selayang Hot Water Ponds

SHAH ALAM, MAR 3: The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) will start a project to upgrade the Selayang Hot Water Ponds this year.
MPS Deputy Yang Dipertua, Dato’ Juhari Ahmad said the project will begin this year and shall take 18 months to be completed.
“Based on our planning, field works and physical approval processes will start next Monday while physical work starts this June 19.
“Therefore, closure will be made in stages to facilitate the project works while taking public safety into account,” he said as reported by Sinar Harian.
Juhari said, the Hot Water Ponds are among the tourist attractions in Selayang.
The area is highly potential and statistics also shows that it receives almost 4,000 visitors every month.
“This development is consistent with the health tourism strategy which will be provided with complete facilities and beautiful environment.
“MPS hopes the project will run smoothly while increasing the number of tourists in the future,” he said.
