MB: Noh Omar playing political games

BY LIZAWATI MADFA
SHAH ALAM, JUL 28: The Housing and Local Government Minister, Tan Sri Noh Omar is seen as deliberately trying to play a narrow political sentiment in the management takeover of the Solid Waste Transfer Station in Seksyen 21.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, the State Government has always abides and respects the court’s decision that the contract for Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) operating there is over.
He said, WHB has also vacated the premise as ordered by court.
“So, what is the problem and does Noh still need to raise the issue as the court has already made a decision. This is clearly Noh’s irresponsible reflex reaction as this has never happened during other minister’s time.

“For example, Dato’ Rahman Dahlan before this has never raise the issues as the land is government land, KPKT built the facility and it is leased to WHB,” he said after the 2016 Selangor Foundation Excellence Award Ceremony last night.
Earlier, Noh had described the State Government’s action to dispute the contract termination letter as politically motivated.
Mohamed Azmin said, Noh who is also Tanjong Karang Member of Parliament is described as deliberately sabotaging the State Government so that there is no space for garbage disposal.
He added that, nonetheless, the State Government has an action plan and three local authorities have been directed to throw their garbage at a different location.
“If he doesn’t allow us to dispose there, it’s okay. But what is the purpose for building the facility and now, what garbage would Noh throw over there?
“This is very politically motivated and another one of Noh Omar’s irresponsible action,” he said.
