Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, the State Government is conducting further investigation and collecting all information on this matter.
“We have held an Exco meeting and the Environment Exco, Elizabeth Wong has requested to review all information.
“If indeed it is true there are land encroachments, we shall take action,” he said to the media yesterday.
Reports have said that Bukit Broga which is famous for hiking activity is believed to have been encroached with parts of its greenery becoming bare due to farming and development activities.
Mohamed AZmin said, the investigation currently is made on the land status and reported activities happening in the area however he explained that no conclusion can be made at this moment.
“We will indeed not compromise as Selangor has a policy of keeping 30% forest reserve.
