Rumah Idaman offers Home Ownership Solutions to Selangorians

KAJANG – Government-linked companies (GLCs) play an important role as a link between economic and social agenda especially in ensuring that the well-being of the people is taken care of.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari said the role of the GLCs should not merely focus on profit alone, but should also focus on the creation of values that have a positive impact to the society.

“In the midst of meeting the aspirations of growing the company, GLCs have to offset the free market capitalism that is usually based solely on profit.”

“GLCs should think of a strategy to earn sustainable revenue but be responsible for local economic ecosystems,” said Amirudin.

The Selangor Menteri Besar said this at the launching of the Idaman Abadi units and Land Breaking project here, at Bandar Teknologi Kajang.

According to Amirudin, the profit generated was to ensure that the government’s agenda is implemented as well as to reduce the people’s economic disparity.

“With the rising in the cost of living, one of the aspects that the government needs to emphasize through GLC engagement is home ownership.”

“The Selangor government, through the Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) and the Selangor Housing Estate Board (LPHS) have developed a strategy to provide the best residential property solutions for the people of Selangor.”

“Today, the Selangor government has introduced a comprehensive solution to affordable home ownership that will revolutionize the country’s housing industry,” added Amirudin.
