HULU SELANGOR – Hulu Selangor is famous amongst fans of outdoor activities and is characterized by ecotourism that has the potential to attract more visitors to the area.
Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) president, Shukri Mohamad Hamin said among the eco-tourism products that can be found in the area are Serendah Waterfall, River Kedondong Education Recreation Forest, Hulu Tamu Hotsprings and Kerling Hot Springs.
Meanwhile, Shukri added that for outdoor activities enthusiasts, Hulu Selangor offers rafting activities in Sungai Selangor, four-wheel drive cars in the Sendat River, Kerling and Peretak, paragliding in Kuala Kubu Bharu, hills or mountain hikes around Kuala Kubu Bharu and Bukit Fraser.
“The names of Bukit Kutu and Sungai Chiling Waterfall are names that need not be introduced to the public as these two locations are popular locations for domestic and foreign tourists,” he said.
He said this at the Launching Ceremony of the Selangor State Tourism Purification Program (P3S) at the Millennium Lake Garden, Kuala Kubu Bharu here on 8 July.
At the same time, Shukri stated that MDHS will continue to develop as well as ensure that existing products are maintained well to ensure Hulu Selangor remains a well-known recreational destination in Selangor.
