SHAH ALAM, Jan 23 — Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has appointed Azlinda Azman as its new deputy president effective January 15.

Welcoming her on board, MBPJ president Dato’ Mohd Sayuthi Bakar said Azlinda succeeds Johary Anuar, who held the position from 2015 and is now serving as a Petaling District Officer effective January 2.

“We hope the new appointment of the deputy president would strengthen the city council’s administration in providing the best service to the people of Petaling Jaya,” he said after chairing the MBPJ monthly meeting today.

Azlinda was previously the deputy director (management) of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais).
