7-Eleven will now operate for 12 hours

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 — 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and its subsidiaries (SEM Group), convenience stores and logistics centre will now operate from 7 am to 11 pm daily, or as advised by the local authorities.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the group said this follows recent developments and as part of its initiatives to support the government’s call to restrict movements.

“Stores in zero traffic areas such as shopping malls have closed along with the related mall. We have taken efforts to reduce our manpower at our support centres and have spilt our teams to support business-critical activities.

“While 7-Eleven remains open for business, we echo the government’s plea to shop as little as possible and to ‘stay at home’. During this period, the safety of our employees, business partners, and customers continues to be our priority,” it said.
