New Covid-19 cases in Selangor drop, MB continues to remind public to stay home

SHAH ALAM, March 29 — The number of new Covid-19 cases in Selangor has dropped yesterday to 33, in comparison to the 36 new cases reported on Friday.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had continued to remind the public to play their role by staying at home.

“The number of (new) Covid-19 cases has dropped today (Saturday), for the second consecutive day.

“I call for the people to keep up the efforts and commitment by staying home so that we can fight the virus,” he said on his official Twitter account, last night.

The second phase of the movement control order has been extended to April 14 in efforts to break the chain of Covid-19 infection.

As of noon yesterday, the number of total cases in Selangor is 579, out of the total 2,320 recorded cases nationwide.

A total of 61 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of cases fully recovered and discharged in Malaysia to 320.
