Selangor players must complete daily homework to maintain fitness

By Afix Redzuan

SHAH ALAM, March 24 — Selangor players are required to send daily videos of their fitness and training routines while staying indoors during the movement control order period.

Selangor coach B Satiananthan said the “homework” has to be completed to ensure all the players remain fit even though they are restricted from the usual outdoor training sessions.

“They have to fill a fitness form daily. They will go through a yo-yo test score as well as weight control.

“A yo-yo test is to test the players’ maximal endurance fitness,” he told SelangorKini when contacted today.

Satiananthan said the players were also provided with rehabilitation programmes to prepare for training when they return back on the field.

On March 17, the Malaysian Football League had urged all Malaysia League or 2020 M-League teams to abide by the movement control order.

The competing teams were disallowed from holding training sessions or friendly matches until the order period is over on March 31.

The Red Giants had struggled in the first four games of the Super League this season and is now ranking at the seventh, five points behind Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), which has collected 10 points.
