Drop in new Covid-19 cases, MB urges public to persevere

SHAH ALAM, April 14 — Selangor sees a drop in the daily recorded Covid-19 cases yesterday, which shows progress in breaking the coronavirus chain of infection, says Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

“Selangor recorded 13 new positive Covid-19 cases today (yesterday). There is a drop in the number of cases in comparison to the previous two days.

“The state government is confident that the efforts we put in would be able to break the chain of infection,” he said on his official Twitter account, last night.

On Sunday, 53 new cases were registered in the state, and 35 was recorded on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said the significant decrease in number within 24 hours was a good sign.

“The drop is promising. Continue to abide by the movement control order, our actions will determine our success in the fight against Covid-19,” said the task force.

As of yesterday, the cumulative confirmed cases in Selangor is 1,249.
