SHAH ALAM, April 5 — Eight venues in Selangor have been identified as quarantine centres for Malaysians returning from overseas, which include three hotels, says Selangor police’s Integrity and Standard Compliance Department chief.

ACP Mohd Ismail Muslim said the centres are located at the Health Ministry Training Institute in Sungai Buloh, Malaysian Muslim Training Institute in Bangi, Judicial and Legal Training Institute in Bangi, Fire and Rescue Academic Centre in Kuala Kubu Bharu and Al-Nabawiyah Madrasah in Kajang.

“The hotels that are being used as quarantine centres are Fox Lite D’Pulze Hotel in Cyberjaya, Qliq Hotel in Damansara and Sunway Clio Hotel in Petaling Jaya,” he said in a statement on the Selangor police Facebook page, yesterday.

Mohd Ismail, who is also the spokesperson for Selangor Ops Covid-19 operations, added that 743 Malaysians, who arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), have been placed at the centres for their 14-day quarantine.

As of April 3, all Malaysians returning home from abroad are required to go through a two-week quarantine at several designated centres provided by the government.
