Selangor Covid-19 ops centre coordinates state orders

SHAH ALAM, April 23 — The Selangor Covid-19 operation centre, which operates around the clock, coordinates the directives issued by the state administration to various agencies.

Management Services Division secretary Muhamad Shah Osmin said since the beginning of its operations in March, this has enabled prompt implementation of decisions and approvals.

“The operation centre functions as a uniformed command centre, where it streamlines the orders to the frontliners in the district offices and local councils.

“Any decisions made are implemented without delays,” he said in a video shared by the Menteri Besar Office.

Muhamad Shah said the operation centre also plays the role as a collection and distribution centre for the supplies allocated for the affected groups.

“All contributions or donations will be extended to those in need,” he said.

The Selangor government had activated the operation centre to coordinate Covid-19 related response in the state during the movement control order period (MCO).

The centre was authorised by the State Security Committee which is chaired by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
