SHAH ALAM, April 9 — The Selangor government has presented RM14,000 to the Selangor Federation of Peninsular Malay Students (GPMS) to help students in higher learning institution across the Klang Valley during the ongoing movement control order (MCO).

Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said through Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB), the allocated fund is to support students who are staying in rented premises during the order period.

“We are aware that movement is limited for the students and some who may have had part-time jobs cannot continue their work at the moment.

“Therefore, GPMS will deliver food supplies to the students residing in some 300 homes that have been identified. The supplies include rice, instant noodles, canned sardines, cooking oil and biscuits,” said Amirudin after overseeing the aid delivery convoy by GPMS at the Selangor secretariat building (SUK), here yesterday.

Earlier, Amirudin had presented a mock cheque to GPMS president Syed Mohsen Syed Bakar Alkaff. Also present was PNSB chief financial officer Mohd Helmi Mohd Yusof.
