SHAH ALAM, May 2 — The townships in Selangor are all clear from being classified a red zone as Hulu Langat sees a drop in active Covid-19 cases as of noon yesterday.

According to the data provided by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre of the Selangor State Health Department, the Hulu Langat township now has 33 active cases recorded.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) had congratulated the people of Selangor for continuously observing the movement control order (MCO) and have played their role in reducing the numbers.

“As for the districts, Hulu Langat is the only one left in the red zone.

“With the number of active cases left in the district (50 cases), there is a good chance for it to be dropped out of the red zone,” the task force said on Facebook yesterday.

STFC had stressed that the public must continue adhering to social distancing and practice good hygiene habits.

“In the efforts to flatten the Covid-19 curve, the new practices must be consistent and part of our daily routine. This is the part of the new normal,” it added.

Selangor saw a slight drop in new cases yesterday with 24 daily recorded number as compared to the 27 registered cases on Thursday.

The state has 157 active cases out of the total 1,455 accumulated cases, with 1,250 recoveries.

The death toll remains at 18.
