Plats to expand beyond Ramadan e-bazaar

By Khairul Azran Hussin

PETALING JAYA, May 5 — The Platform Selangor (Plats) initiative will be expanding to retail other products on the online platform and will not be limited to the current Ramadan e-bazaar concept.

Project manager Shamsul Nashriq said there had been several requests from businesses for the platform to be extended in promoting and retailing other local products.

“Plats has its own advantages and we should make use of it for it to become more than a platform that only sells food during Ramadan.

“We hope that Plats can be developed in the long run to be utilised by the people of Selangor in online retailing of various different products,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

The e-bazaar platform was formed by the state government, offering various Ramadan delicacies via www.plats.com.my.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on April 18 had announced the initiative in its efforts to help small businesses generate income during Ramadan.
