All involved in Selangor state assembly sitting tested negative for Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, July 10 — The 700 individuals that will be attending the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, scheduled to convene on Monday, are clear from the Covid-19 infection.

Speaker Ng Suee Lim said the screening operation held on July 7 had also included the Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, 56 state representatives as well as media personnel.

“We are grateful to receive the good news that all of the samples taken have tested negative for Covid-19. We would like to thank everyone for giving their full cooperation in order for the sitting to run smoothly.

“The state government remains committed to combating the virus even during the recovery movement control order (RMCO) period and will be implementing strict standard operating procedure (SOP),” he said when contacted today.

Selangor had carried out mandatory Covid-19 testing to ensure that the venue for the sitting is safe from the Covid-19 infection.

SelangorKini and Selangor TV staff had also undergone the screening procedure.
