KUALA SELANGOR, Aug 25 — Inpens International College (Inpens) will now be known as the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STsDC) beginning today.

Inpens chief executive Asyraf Amin said the rebranding exercise is part of the state government’s initiative to plan out the Education Excellence Agenda (Agenda Pendidikan Unggul) under the Selangor Budget 2020.

“Inpens will mark a historic moment today after its 27 years of establishment through the rebranding of the Inpens International College.

“With the new beginning, Inpens will continue to strive in preparing quality skills training that is high impact towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0,” he said in his address at the rebranding ceremony, which was officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

In the same event, Amirudin had presented the Certificate of Completion to 91 students sponsored by the Smart Selangor Technical and Professional Skills Initiative (Iktisass) and had completed their studies in 2019.

Commenting further on the rebranding exercise, Asyraf said Inpens will refocus its programmes to ensure that the institution remains relevant as a skills training centre that meets the needs of the industry.

“Some of the plannings include to improve the existing courses, strengthen industrial relations, have better cooperation with the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), the human resources department, Kuala Selangor District Council and Kuala Selangor District Office.

“We will also organise high impact activities for the students, strengthen cooperation with subsidiaries under the Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) and strengthen the skills of the educators,” he said.
