Invest Selangor to launch digital platform for investors’ reference

By Norrasyidah Arshad

SEPANG, Aug 25 — Invest Selangor Bhd (Invest Selangor) will launch a digital platform next month to enable investors to get data on the state economic industry.

Invest Selangor chief executive officer Dato’ Hassan Azhari Idris said the platform will provide easy access for local and international investors to get information.

“After the Covid-19 pandemic started, Invest Selangor chose to go virtual on its dealings including in doing promotion to attract both local and international investors,” said Hassan after joining a visit by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari to the Hartalega Holdings Bhd’s latex glove factory here yesterday.

Last year, Selangor recorded the highest investment in the country with RM47.8 billion, followed by Penang (RM33.7 billion), Johor (RM24.4 billion) and Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (RM21.6 billion).

All the states contributed more than 60 per cent of the country’s total approved investment for 2019.
