MB expresses condolences to the families of the victims killed in Lebanon

SHAH ALAM, Aug 5 — Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari expresses his condolences to the families of victims of the blast in Lebanon, Beirut.

“Inalillah wainailaihi rajiun. My deepest sympathy over the heartbreaking tragedy in the Lebanese city of Beirut.

“May the government and the people of Lebanon persevere in facing this gruelling test. Condolences to the families of the victims,” said Amirudin via Twitter.

According to The Guardian media, more than 80 individuals were killed and more than 4,000 people injured in the series of two major blasts that rocked the Lebanon’s capital yesterday.

Video footage showed the explosion that resulted in thick plumes of smoke and blazing fire which shooked nearby buildings. As a result, many properties were destroyed while windows in several homes were shattered and its ceilings collapsed.

Most residents thought the damages were caused by strong blasts due to an earthquake.
