Covid-19: Klang sees 100 daily cases out of total 185 in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Nov 15 — Klang has again recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 cases in Selangor with a total of 100 infections.

The state registered 185 daily cases today from the total 1,208 daily cases recorded nationwide.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement said no imported case was reported in the state.

“Out of the total new cases,132 were from existing clusters, 24 from the screening of positive Covid-19 close contacts and 29 from other Covid-19 testings,” he said in a statement today.

According to the data from the Selangor Health Department’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), the Hulu Langat district recorded the second-highest figure with 48 cases, followed by Petaling (19), Kuala Langat (10), Sepang (4), Kuala Selangor (3) and Gombak (1).

Sabak Bernam remains a green zone with zero infections.

Meanwhile, the state reported 154 patients to have recovered from the coronavirus out of the total 1,013 recoveries recorded in the country today.

No deaths were reported in Selangor out of the total three fatalities registered.

The cumulative figure in Selangor is at 7,624 out of the accumulated 47,417 Covid-19 cases nationwide.
