Shah Alam Hospital receives 20 wheelchairs from Board of Visitors

SHAH ALAM, Nov 11 — Shah Alam Hospital Board of Visitors has donated 20 wheelchairs to the Shah Alam Hospital to further equip the facility in providing better healthcare support to its patients.

Board chairman Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim in a statement today said the contribution was part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to further instil awareness on health and provide additional support to the people in need as well as to forge closer relations with the community.

“According to the data we obtained, hospitals in Malaysia receive more patients every day than patients who are discharged.

“Therefore, members of the Board of Visitors strive to raise funds to provide the necessary healthcare equipment such as beds, trolleys and medical supplies,” he said.

The wheelchairs were handed over to the hospital Director Dr Rozita Othman in a ceremony recently.

Donations are welcomed at the board’s bank account with Bank Islam: 12038010137399.
