Air Selangor: Water fully restored in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam at 84 pct

SHAH ALAM, Dec 30 — The water supply in all 72 areas in Petaling affected by unscheduled water cut yesterday have fully restored as of 7am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement today said the restoration rate in Klang/Shah Alam is currently recorded at 84 per cent out of the 58 areas affected.

“Nine more areas in the district have yet to receive its water supply. These areas will have their water supply restored in stages and is expected to fully restore by 12 noon today,” the statement read.

Air Selangor said the remaining affected areas are namely Jalan Raja Lumu, Jalan Kem, Kampung Kastam, Kampung Pendamar, Pandamaran, Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, Taman Berembang, Kampung Pendamar Indah and Taman Surai Pendamar.

“Air Selangor would like to thank all users for their patience and cooperation during the unscheduled water cut,” it added.

Yesterday, the water supply in the two Selangor districts was cut at 1pm following a burst pipe incident at Bulatan Persiaran Tengku Ampuan in Section 15, here.

The repair works on the burst pipe had completed as per schedule at 9pm last night and the distribution of the water supply was channelled beginning at 9.30pm.
