121 areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, KL to face water disruption due to burst pipe

SHAH ALAM, Jan 8 — The water supply in 121 areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat and Kuala Lumpur would be cut at 1pm today following a burst pipe incident at Jalan Sering, Taman Sungai Sering in Cheras.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the closure is to allow emergency repair works to be carried out on the damages resulting from work to install sewer pipes by a third party on January 2.

“The repair work is expected to be completed by 3am tomorrow (January 9) and water supply will be channelled to consumer premise once the work is done.

“The period of water supply recovery will vary from one area to another depending on the location and premises’ distances,” said Air Selangor Corporate Communications head Elina Baseri today.

Air Selangor advised users to store sufficient water supply and to use water wisely throughout the disruption period.
