SHAH ALAM, Feb 26 — The Chap Goh Mei celebration, which falls today, is a meaningful day especially for the Tiong Hua community in Malaysia, says Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Amirudin said there is a lesson to be learnt from the celebration marking the last day of the 15-day Chinese New Year festivities.
“Emulating the spirit of joy and prosperity of Chap Goh Mei, let us always multiply our efforts to achieve success.
“In fact, through this awareness to self-improve, we can achieve great success, especially in the effort to redevelop the Selangor economy after the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said on Twitter today.
In his greetings, Amirudin said he wishes the Chap Goh Mei will bring prosperity, as well as success for the entire Chinese community in Selangor.
“Happy Chap Goh Mei 2021,” he said.
