SHAH ALAM, March 7 — The free Covid-19 community screening programme organised by the Selangor government continues to Shah Alam and Kota Damansara today.

The targeted screening started at 9am at Dataran Otomobil in Section 15, Shah Alam and at the Multipurpose Hall in Section 2, Kota Damansara.

Despite the rainy weather in Shah Alam, it did not deter people from waiting as early as 8.30am to undergo the screening.

A total of 30 health workers from Selcare Clinic and the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia’s Response and Relief Team (Imaret) wore personal protective equipment (PPE) suits to perform the screening process which is open until 4pm.

The screening uses the rapid antigen test kit (RTK-Ag) which allows Covid-19 infection to be detected in less than 30 minutes.

People who want to undergo screening must first register with the SELangkah (Step in, safely) mobile application and later get a confirmation from the staff.

The screening location is monitored by Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) enforcement personnel and the police.
