Women’s handiwork expo to showcase virtually from April 24

SHAH ALAM, April 19 — The public is invited to join the four-day virtual Ekspo Hasil Suri Selangor (Selangor Housewives’ Crafts and Products Expo, or HaSSel) Hybrid 2021 beginning April 24 (Saturday).

Visitors are in for a new online experience when they follow the expo, which will be held from 10am to 10pm, with various activities and programmes carried out throughout the event.

The expo will feature 100 traders selling a variety of products made by women entrepreneurs.

A total of 56 workshops, including cooking and craftsmanship, will be showcased at the online event. Visitors also stand a chance to bring home five iPhone devices.

HaSSel is a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) led by female entrepreneurs to introduce their products to the commercial world.

The event is the state government’s initiative to empower women in Selangor, especially those who are facing socio-economic challenges.
