MB, Lazada discuss potential digitalisation in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, May 11 — The Selangor government and Lazada Malaysia today held an online discussion on the potential of the digitalisation industry in the state.

Participating in the discussion are Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, state executive councillor on investment Dato’ Teng Chang Khim and Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer Magnus Ekbom.

“The virtual courtesy meeting discussed the potential of digital investment in Selangor, growing the e-commerce sector and promoting the digitalisation of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the state,” said Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) on Facebook.

Previously, the state government has allocated RM5 million for the Selangor SME Digitalisation Matching Grant to help entrepreneurs digitalise their businesses.

Today’s discussion was hosted by the Sidec chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping.
