SHAH ALAM, June 25 — A total of 15 individuals were suspected to be positive for Covid-19 out of 659 individuals who underwent a targeted screening programme at USJ14, Subang Jaya, yesterday.
Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze said they were referred to the Health Ministry to undergo real-time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing to confirm the status of the infection.
“Our team will also send them home assessment tools that contain an oximeter and medicines.
“Besides that, food baskets will also be sent because we understand they cannot go out because they have to undergo quarantine,” she said when contacted today.
The targeted screening programme at USJ14 was conducted following positive cases involving employees at two restaurant premises there.
The screening is to identify any potential cluster thus curbing the spread of the pandemic in the community.
