SHAH ALAM, June 5 — Nearly 90 per cent of residents in three housing estates in Sabak Bernam that are placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) have undergone Covid-19 screening, as of yesterday.
Sabak Bernam district officer Amri Ismail said the number of recovery cases has increased to 115 yesterday compared to 112 recorded on Thursday.
“Meanwhile, active cases have also decreased from 40 to 36 cases. Maybe the EMCO can be ended earlier but it depends on the District Health Office decision, as the authority in charge,” he told SelangorKini.
The three housing estates that were placed under a 14-days EMCO from May 30 to June 12 are Taman Pertama, Taman Serendah and Taman Prima.
The EMCO was enforced as there were 113 positive Covid-19 cases recorded from 1,237 screening tests carried out in the three housing estates, over a short period of time.
