SHAH ALAM, June 19 — Two golf buggies will be provided to ferry participants to the free Covid-19 community screening at Dewan Beringin Taman Seri Gombak tomorrow.

Gombak Setia constituency coordinator Abdul Rahim Kasdi said about 100 volunteers will also assist in the screening process that will be held from 9am to 8pm.

“The golf buggies are provided by Templer Park Country Club. Also if there are residents who want to come but have transportation constraints, we will consider providing transportation for them,” he said.

He said leaflets containing hotlines to their service centre will also be distributed to the participants to get their services, including in case there is a need to undergo home quarantine or for other assistance.

Phase 3 of the screening organised by the Selangor government begins today in Seri Setia and Taman Medan state constituencies, followed by Sungai Tua, Gombak Setia and Taman Templer tomorrow.

The programme will then continue in Kajang on June 26, followed by Hulu Klang and Bukit Antarabangsa on June 27.

Participants who tested positive for Covid-19 will receive Home Assessment Kits when undergoing home quarantine.

The Selangor government has provided an allocation of RM10.7 million for the programme that focuses on hotspot areas as well as on industrial and manufacturing sectors.
