SHAH ALAM, July 28 — A total of 937,000 individuals or 19.74 per cent of the Selangor population have completed their two doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of July 27, says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

The Menteri Besar said 3.68 million vaccine doses have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), while some 125,351 vaccine doses have been administered under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

According to the infographics shared on Facebook yesterday, a total of 2.75 million or 57.8 per cent people in the state have received their first jab.

On July 18, Amirudin said the daily vaccination rate in the state could hit the maximum 300,000 doses a day by the end of the month.

The amount could be achieved as a result of the combination of Selvax, PICK and the Public-Private Partnership Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (Pikas).

Under the Selvax for industrial workers initiative (Selvax Industry), Selangor has provided two million vaccine doses to one million workers, including foreigners, as an effort to prevent the outbreak at workplaces.

Meanwhile, under Selvax Community, a total of 250,000 people will benefit from the 500,000 vaccine doses provided by the state government for free.
