Selvax: Kuala Kubu Bharu residents invited to apply for vaccination, 5,000 doses allocated

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, July 17 — Individuals aged 18 and above around Kuala Kubu Bharu are invited to apply for immunisation under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) for the community (Selvax Community), which was opened since Thursday till July 20.

Its state assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong said priorities are given for e-hailing, taxi and van drivers, as well as food deliverers, logistic workers, public transportation service personnel, traders and hawkers.

“A quota of 2,500 is allocated to the community involving 5,000 doses, so this opportunity should be utilised as much as possible, especially for those who have not received a vaccination appointment date.

“We detected about 120,000 adults in Hulu Selangor have not been vaccinated and it is a relatively large number. It is hoped that this initiative will speed up the vaccination rate in this district,” he told SelangorKini.

He explained applicants can find out if they are eligible for the vaccination on July 21, and receive the first dose on July 24 and 25 at Dewan Sri Siantan, in Gombak.

According to him, once the individuals have received an appointment on the MySejahtera app, they must inform Ain (011-19728303) or Jessie Chong (013-2706028) before July 22.
