Fully vaccinated state citizens welcomed to explore tourist spots — MB

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 — The Menteri Besar has encouraged Selangor’s citizens who have been fully vaccinated to explore tourist attractions in the state, which is now under Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said support from the people can help revive Selangor’s tourism industry which has been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Hopefully, now as Selangor enters Phase Two of the NRP and with the majority of its adult population vaccinated, let us take this opportunity to explore various tourist attractions both near and far.

“The tourism industry can recover with the support of the people of Selangor, so let us revive the state’s economic cycle together by exploring the tourist attractions in Selangor Darul Ehsan,” he said.

In his post on Twitter, Amirudin also wished a Happy World Tourism Day to industry operators in Selangor, Malaysia and around the world.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya shifted to Phase Two of the NRP on September 10.

The phase shift gives flexibility to the people who have been inoculated with two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to venture into domestic tourism activities involving hotel accommodation and homestays.
